editorial illustration (character study)

Below is an editorial character study I did based on a retired veterinarian named Ron Ringen, who snaps photos and uses his GPS to find where animals meet their end on roads. The purpose of this is to predict where animal road crossings and warning signs would be the most effective. I thought it would be appropriate to illustrate him as a spiritual character, like the patron saint of animals.
